Hayah Foundation for Sustainable Development

Hayah Foundation for Sustainable Development

Hayah Foundation is a non-profit organization, established in 2011. Its budget is provided completely by its board of trustees as Hayah does not receive any external funding.

In spite that Hayah Foundation for Sustainable Development has been working for only 3 years, but it managed to work in many projects and activities that served the community especially the poor and vulnerable groups; women and children, consistent with Hayah vision and mission.

Vision

Facilitate the creation of more advanced economically, socially and culturally believes in the importance of the role of youth in volunteering and participating in the public work. 

Mission

Increase the capacities of the Egyptian families to create a more advanced stable community on both social and economic levels through providing projects that support the vulnerable groups in the community.  

Activities:

In 2014, Hayah managed to help about 20,000 family members in order to assist in the poverty-reduction and contribute to the improvement of the economic and social welfare of the poorest and neediest families allover Egypt, ensuring that the neediest families are having their most basic needs fulfilled (food, health, housing, education…etc).

1- Developmental projects

    Projects that aim at increasing the capacities of different groups and their social standards, as below:

    • Microcredit finance for youth. 
    • Helping disabled people. 
    • Supporting the debtors socially and economically. 
    • Supporting infrastructure in poor areas and families. 
    • Illiteracy eradication classes. 
    • Programs for empowering women. 
    • Supporting innovative and cultural competitions. 

2- Charity Programs

    Projects that support poor families who are not capable of work through providing direct and indirect financial assistance as below:

    • Ramadan project (food packages and food tables). 
    • Providing clothes for poor families. 
    • Providing the needs of the bride. 
    • Supporting orphans. 
    • Distributing meat in Al-Adha feast. 
    • Monthly stipend for poor families. 
    • Medical and health care. 
    • Winter Convoys (blankets). 

3. Health Programs

The CSR program provides the beneficiaries with therapeutic convoys. Volunteered students form FUE survey the needs of the beneficiaries from medicine and medical services and provided them. We also specify a day for teeth check up for children at school to raise the awareness hygiene. 

4. Childhood and Orphans Programs

Giving care to orphans is one of the issues that attracts the CSR Program and makes the volunteers more willing to work. As orphans have no family to give them care and support. The CSR Program tries to provide them with the care and needs. 

5. Literacy classes

Literacy classes were set up for women, men and children as well as debtors who drop out of education through the vision of empowering children against child labor and developing strategy to financially cover the family with children in school, through the initiative "Towards Education for Every Child.".
