In March 2003, Eng. Farid El Tobgui, Chairman of Bavarian Auto Group (BMW Egypt), established an Egyptian group of joint-stock companies under the company name of Bavarian Auto Group (BAG). BAG invested over USD 350 million distributed over seven companies, 13 properties and one warehouse. The company is the sole agent of the BMW and Mini brands in Egypt. BAG has the exclusive rights to import, assemble, distribute, sell as well as handle after-sales in Egypt and The Sudan.
